Peptide Storage & Handling: Don't Waste Your Money
Improper storage can degrade a peptide in days. Here's how to keep your stack potent.
Lyophilized (powder, unmixed)
- Store in the freezer (-20°C) for long-term (years)
- Refrigerator works for shorter-term storage (months)
- Keep away from light
- Don't expose to repeated freeze-thaw cycles
Reconstituted (mixed with BAC water)
- Refrigerate at 2-8°C — never room temperature
- Most peptides remain stable for 28-30 days once mixed
- Some (like fragile growth hormone analogs) may degrade faster — 14 days
- Label every vial with reconstitution date
Signs of degradation
- Cloudiness or particulates floating in the solution
- Color change (clear → yellow)
- Reduced effect at the same dose
- Strange odor
Shipping
If you're receiving peptides by mail, they should arrive cool to the touch with ice packs. If they arrive warm in summer heat, contact the vendor — the product may be compromised.
